A Vietnamese Kitchen — July 2026
Our July table, cooked from Vietnamese Food Any Day by Andrea Nguyen.

July was Vietnamese Food Any Day by Andrea Nguyen, a book built around the idea that you can get real Vietnamese flavour out of a regular grocery run. No specialist shopping trip, no all day project. Which made it a good pick for July, when nobody wants a four hour build.
I missed this one. My partner went and brought me leftovers, which is the second best way to attend a Sauté Sundays and a better review than anything I could have written. The photos are from the people who were actually there.

August is outdoors at Trinity Bellwoods with SocialSip, cooking from Endless Summer by Katie Lee. Subscribers get the link first.

Co-host. Started Sauté Sundays in her party room in 2025, and writes the newsletter that keeps it running.

Our biggest table yet, and four people who all took plantain in completely different directions.

The Moroccan Table — May 2026
Grilled kefta, chicken skewers, and the first month warm enough that nobody sat down straight away.

A Basque Feast — April 2026
A cuisine most of the room was meeting for the first time, our first collab with Danu Social House, and an ice cream I never got to try.
